A Portland area referrals network for independent consultants and micro-companies. PDXICons provides a private forum where we can all share self-help on things that matter to us as indies, are perhaps specific to the Portland area, and most of all, get to hear about all the contract and service opportunities that you usually don’t get to hear about, because you are busy working.
To join as an Indie, simply go to LinkedIn.com and find the group PDXICons, and click to join. FTE’s, employers, and agents won’t be eligible to join.
As indies you may hear about consulting opportunities, and your friends and network in full time employment may also hear about opportunities. This forum will give both groups the ability to earn a referral fee should one of the group’s members win the business. It’s free to join after all, you just need to be an independent consultant! My hope is that if we build a little momentum, we will attract employer postings directly when employers recognize the need for an indie engagement. It should be a win for everyone.
